Meet him now and see the footage of the moment his winning shot was taken! 👇

“I am Dimitris Pallis and I come from Ermioni in Greece. I was so happy when I recieved the wonderful news that I had been voted the Hero of #Health2019!

I am a 42 year old electronic engineer and owner of a tech company as well as a happy husband and proud father of 2 sons. I only got into photography around two years ago, after flying a drone for the very first time. I drone as a hobby and I believe that my view from above has the ability to influence other people!

Our #Health2019 Hero – Dimitrios Pallis

My winning shot was taken on the 5th of October 2019 in Spetses Island where the 9th annual “Spetses Mini Marathon” both swimming and running events are held. Spetses is one of the most popular islands on the Saronic gulf and a very famous Greek island just a 10 minute sea taxi ride away from where I live in Kosta, Porto Heli, Peloponnese in mainland coastal Greece. It is also known for its history, during our liberation from the Turks back in 1821.

Dimitrios’ winning #Health2019 shot – Win if you can, lose if you must, but never quit!

For the last 3 years, despite not participating in any of the events, I have found myself there with my drone. As I watch on, I feel as if I’m right in the midst of the action, as if I really were participating. My heart beats fast and a shiver runs through my body. 5-4-3-2-1 Go!!!!! I do not want to miss a single moment! You can feel the energy around you, each participant is a winner, a personal winner, cause participation is the first and biggest step to take.

I am thinking about participating myself next year as it will be their big celebration for the 10th anniversary.”

The host for this Contest has been Pedro Ajuriaguerra

We called upon Pedro Ajuriaguerra (@pallisd), our #Sports2019 and #Speed2019 Hero, to lend the Community a hand with choosing the Hero! Find out why he chose this winning photo! 👇

“I’m Pedro Luis Saiz Ajuriaguerra, self-taught photographer from Bilbao, Spain. I began my career back in 2011 after discovering my previously unknown passion – photography! Although I make a conscious effort to try all disciplines of photography, sports and architectural photography is really my speciality. I am currently collaborating with magazines such as BAO Bilbao Magazine, Bilbao Tourism, Bilbao Bizkaia Tour Magazine and for different sports promoters such as MGZ Promotions, Euskobox etc.”

Guest judge’s selection criteria: “Out of all the Top 50 shots @pallisd’s shot was no doubt the winner for me! The visual impact of this aerial shot is incredible and it fits perfectly in this category, as when you look closely we can see that all of the swimmers are in perfect state of health and enjoying their health out in nature. The yellow color also makes a spectacular contrast with the deep blue of the sea. Congratulations!”

On behalf of the entire Agora Team, congratulations to Dimitrios for becoming the Hero! 👏🎉
