“Hi everyone, my name is Christoph and I’m a computer science graduate and drone photographer from Austria. My journey with photography started as a child when I found my father’s old polaroid camera. During my university degree my father bought a new DSLR which he allowed me to borrow to go shooting stuff around Vienna. When me and my girlfriend saved up enough money to buy our own one I totally fell in love with photography again and learned all the technical things about it. Ever since this moment I save up all my money to buy new lenses and other equipment. After reading all I could I started to get bored of normal shooting so I sold some of my lenses in order to by a drone in order to achieve different angles and positions to shoot. It was the best decision I’ve ever made because for me it is the perfect mix of finding new perspectives to shoot and interesting technology.

The first contact I had with AGORA was around about one year ago and I was very impressed with the platform. Some months and various submissions later I was informed that I had become the Hero of #Winter2018. I was so excited to have won the contest as well as $1000! I quickly shot up from Junior to Master Level with some of my photos being chosen in the Top 50 aswell. I’ve also been included as a featured photographer in the AGORA Review regarding my drone photography. In short, it’s been an absolutely awesome first year of being part of the AGORA community and I’m now so honoured to announce myself as the guest judge of #Autumn2019! I wish you all the best and hope you all have luck too with your journeys on AGORA. To improve your chances take a look at my top 3 tips below now!” πŸ‘‡

Color is key!

“Autumn is such a magical season purely because of all the amazing colors that appear. Make sure you incorporate these colors in your submissions by always keeping an eye out for strong colored natural spots when you’re out shooting!”

Lakeside

Use the light to your advantage!

“In order to make your shots more emotional try shooting within the golden or blue hours! This light can completely transform your photos into charming and fantastical images!”

Foggy Austria

Keep it simple!

“Don’t over complicate your images, the beauty of autumn speaks for itself! Try to keep it simple and create an authentic picture with your camera, using what nature provides as your subject!”
