Introducing Hugo Healy (aka @hugohealy), our #Aerial2019 Hero from the UK whose stunning photo has won him $1,000 + 100,000 ⭐️s!

“Hey, my name is Hugo. I work as a drone operator for film and TV and also do photography/videography on the side. I feel so blessed to have turned my hobbies into a career because it means I always wake up excited to work. I have always loved travelling, experiencing new places and cultures. Ever since I brought a drone three years ago I have wanted to capture the world from a unique angle and light sharing how beautiful and colourful our planet is to inspire others to get out and explore. Although I am a creative individual, I also work as a part time on-call firefighter from home. I have always been a bit of an adrenaline junkie and I find this job very rewarding – it’s great to give something back to the community. Fire Fighting can also be great for filling in the gaps between my film work and travelling.

Hugo Healy – Our #Aerial2019 Hero

I joined AGORA in late May this year, after guest judge @thedronelad shared the #Aerial2019 in his story on Instagram. I am so happy to have been selected as the Hero of this year’s #Aerial2019 Contest, it’s honestly something I never expected and I want to say a massive thank you to @thedronelad for choosing me! Thank you also to AGORA, for doing so much for the community, and if you haven’t already make sure you download the app for your chance of winning!”

The guest judge for this Contest has been photographer Konrad Paruch

We called upon Konrad Paruch (aka @thedronelad), AGORA #Architecture2019 Hero & 2 time Top 50 photographer, to lend the Community a hand with choosing the Hero!

“My name is Konrad, I’m originally from Poland but am now based in the UK! In just 3 years I have turned my passion for drone photography into a career and am so proud to have started to get national & international recognition from awards including becoming AGORA #Architecture2019 Hero. It’s been a huge honour to judge AGORA’s #Aerial2019 Contest but also very difficult as the quality of the submissions has been so high, but there could be one winner.”

Guest Judge’s selection criteria: “I chose @hugohealy’s because it combines the beauty of our nature combined with a dramatic and moody vibe making it an outstanding photograph. I also think that he had to be very patient and put a lot of effort into capturing the scene the way he has. The amazing timing of the photo to capture the incredible weather conditions as well as the mood makes this photo a winning image. Congratulations Hugo!”

On behalf of the entire AGORA Team, congratulations to Hugo Healy for becoming the Hero! 👏🎉
