Meet the Hero behind the photo!
After 2 months of tough competition one photographer has come out on top! 🏆
Introducing Pedro Luis Ajuriaguerra Saiz (aka @ajuriaguerra) from Spain, our #Sports2019 Hero whose mind blowing photo won him $1,000 + 100,000 ⭐️s!
See where and how he took this incredible photo in his video below! 😱
“My name is Pedro, I am a self-taught professional sports photographer from Bilbao, Spain. I began my career back in 2011 when I discovered this unknown passion. I have tried almost every genre of photography, however now I mainly focus mainly on sports and architectural photography.
My winning #Sports2019 photograph was taken at the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series event held in Bilbao. The Czech diver, Michal Navratil, made this jump from the La Salve bridge, 27 metres above the Bilbao estuary. The diver makes his turns in the skies of Bilbao with the Guggenheim Museum as a backdrop.
The guest judge for this Contest has been photographer David Agüero
We called upon David Agüero (@davidaguerophoto), our #Inspiration2017 Hero from Spain, to lend the Community a hand with choosing the #Sports2019 Hero.
“I am young sports photographer based in Madrid. I started photographing sports when I was 16 years old. Today, at 24, I have photographed most extreme sports and the people who practices them.”
Guest Judge’s selection criteria:
“For me the winner is obvious. I love extreme sports and high diving is extremely exciting to photograph. The image is perfectly composed and well lit. Congratulations Pedro!”
On behalf of the entire AGORA Team, congratulations to Pedro Ajuriaguerra for becoming our #Sports2019 Hero! 👏🎉
